Chassisworks’ FAB9™ direct fit, fabricated 9” housing
offers exceptional performance and reliability. FAB9™ offers
superior strength from fabricated center section panels, internal
3" axle-tube gussets, optional folded back braces, and consistent
robotic spray-arc welded seams. Heavy-duty, leafspring pads are clocked
for correct pinion angle and perfect alignment with factory leaf-spring
mounts. Various options are also available including; mild steel or
4130 chromemoly construction, as well as factory welded back braces
and torque arm mounts. Direct-fit FAB9™ fabricated housings are
available for most models of leaf-spring equipped Mustangs, Cougars,
Falcons, and Comets from 1960 through 1973. Housings can be built
to standard widths for OEM wheel offsets or narrowed to accommodate
wider tire and wheel combinations. Widths can be narrowed in 1/4”
increments to a wheel-to-wheel minimum of 55-1/4” (2” less
than factory for 1965-1966 Mustangs, and 4” less for 1967-1970
Mustangs and Cougars.

Each FAB9™ housing comes equipped with an easily accessible
fill hole, drain, and all necessary hardware. Complete correct length
axle packages and third members are also available.
